There are regular flights to Fakarava from Tahiti. Once you’re there, you can rent a car or bike and explore the lagoon on some of the guided tours and boat trips. It is a very beautiful atoll and you’ll pass a moment of calm serenity with the welcoming local population.
Getting around on Fakarava
Once you arrive at the airport, you’ll be taken to your accommodation by ‘truck’, the typical and colorful buses of French Polynesia.
You can rent a car, or preferably a bike, an ecological option that is more in tune with the gentle rhythm of life in the Tuamotu Islands.

Meals are generally included in the price of your accommodation. There are also a few small restaurant/snack bars which all have a very good reputation.
