3 Waterfalls Of Faarumai

Fascinating waterfalls on the east coast of the island of Tahiti
The three waterfalls in the valley of Faarumai come from three different drainage basins. The easiest to get to is called Vaimahuta and is a fall of 80 meters. The other two, about 25 minutes walk away, are Haamaremare Rahi, with a fall of 100 meters and Haamaremare Iti, with a fall of 40 meters. During periods of heavy rain, the water forms cascading rivers, which have eroded the volcanic rock and caused it to collapse, forming a barrier in the shape of a horseshoe. The three cascades site is the source of many ancient legends which you can discover when you visit.
