Passe D’avatoru

an exceptional wildlife pass
Avatoru pass is close to the village of Avatoru in the north-west of the atoll of Rangiroa. Less famous than the legendary Tiputa pass, Avatoru has an equally varied and luxuriant biodiversity, which will delight both diving and snorkeling enthusiasts. Let yourself drift on the strong incoming current and you'll encounter sharks, rays and sea turtles. It is not advisable to go snorkeling in the pass on your own.

DIVE SPOT:
It is reputed for silvertip reef sharks, jackfish and manta rays.

– Dive in the pass, 15-21 m.
